Connecting Power aims to strengthen the capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to deliver safe, inclusive, and survivor-centred services for women, girls, and children affected by gender-based violence (GBV), in all their diversity. The project, funded by the European Commission, is currently implemented in Italy, Greece, and Spain, and will expand in its second phase to Serbia, Romania, and Albania, promoting a broader European response grounded in integrated and multi-sectoral collaboration.
At the heart of the project is a feminist sub-granting scheme that will resource and connect CSOs working to prevent and respond to gender-based violence, grounded in an intersectional approach. Beyond funding, the scheme will foster transnational networks for the exchange of practices, knowledge, and feminist strategies, strengthening collective capacity to support women and girls in all their diversity.
The feminist sub-granting scheme will involve the launch of national calls in Italy, Greece, and Spain, alongside transnational calls connecting Italy with Serbia, Spain with Romania, and Greece with Albania. Through these mechanisms, at least 39 projects and 60 CSOs will be funded, strengthening cross-country cooperation and enabling locally rooted yet interconnected responses.
